Score one for collective junk

A couple years ago I installed wood blinds in our den. They came in one length fits all which meant I needed to do some adjusting. I removed quite a number of slats which aside from its intended purpose, could be useful.

So in my basement they lay...
Waiting for their moment...
And that moment WAS TODAY!

I'm currently remodeling a bathroom and I needed spacers to address the various imperfections an older home has. Sure enough these spacers were just the right thickness, 1/8". I was able to put a couple together where the walls were considerably bowed or use just one as a spacer in-between layers of sheetrock. I even used a bunch to fill in gaps where the floors were sagging.

What a lifesaver!
